HSHG | APPLE CIDER RAW
* Our HSHG apples were thoroughly cleaned prior to pressing. Apples were given a 15 minute soak with some food grade baking soda in a stainless steel tank, then apples were removed and hand washed. This process not only cleans the apples but has been proven to remove contaminants. Then a team of five of us pressed the apples to keep and capture all health benefits possible.
FLAVONOIDS - Apple cider also contains the antioxidants flavonoids, which along with cancer and heart disease prevention can also reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes.
VITAMIN C - Cider is an excellent source of vitamin C, which, among many other benefits, is great for your immune system and cardiac health. One glass contains 6 percent of your daily needs.
PECTIN - Apple are one of the best sources for pectin, and cider contains just as much as the whole fruit. The compound has been show to help absorb bad cholesterol in the body.
FIBER - While most of the fiber found in whole apples is lost when pressed into cider, a small amount, important for maintaining a healthy wietht and heart health, is retained in cider because it's being unfiltered.
POLYPHENOLS - Cider contains roughly four times the level of polyphenols as filtered apple juice. These antioxidants may help prevent cancer as well as heart disease.
IRON - Cider contains a small amount of iron, which is necessary for brain and blood function. There is about 2 percent of your daily iron needs in an 8-ounce glass.
